English 1301 was the first class that I had for the night. After the previous class was done using our room, we went inside the classroom. Students started looking for places to sit. I sat in the middle of the room so I could have a good view during the lecture. As we waited for our instructor, I was thinking "Here I am again back in school. Will I be able to do well in this class?" This was the question that was going through my mind. As I looked around at some of my classmates, I couldn't help but smile and so to myself, "My classmates are all young." After I realized that, I got my phone and sent a message to my husband. I told him that all my classmates were young.A couple of minutes passed and our professor was still nowhere in site. Most of the students were still quiet. You could almost hear a needle fall. There were a few that were whispering to each other as they talked. Some started using the computer to browse the Internet and compose e-mails. Mostly, we were waiting for our instructor. I looked around some more and told my seatmate that it had been a couple of minutes and our professor was still missing. Would he even attend class? My classmate replied, " I think that's him over there," pointing towards the person close to the doorway. I looked at the guy and was thinking "If he is the instructor, why is he not doing anything? He is just there, waiting."
After about 10 minutes of waiting, the guy that my classmate told me was our professor stood up. He started talking and asking questions about different types of learning. That's when it hit me; I am in for a roller coaster ride.
