What's Keeping You Busy Lately?

I have been MIB for the past couple of days on this blog. And I feel like I have been missing a lot on the blogging world, but what can I do. I have some other things that I have to do too. First off is of course I finished up some designs for my client and of course the non stuff rant about school, it's always there... and it's always going to be there until I am done with school. It's just my way of trying to unwind and lessen up the burden. And then of course I have a little girly that I have to attend to.

Then I just launched an exclusive online community called Youth Community Service Club (YCSC) which basically geared towards the alumni and current members of this organization. It's an organization all over the Philippines that is under the supervision of Higher Education and I wanted to connect all of the members from all over the country and alumni all over the world. It was launched offical last Sunday and we are growing quite fast. As of the moment we have at least 49 members and growing. To find out more information about this community you can go here. We are hoping that in the next coming months are will continue to grow and be able to help out in molding young ones to become a good leader and be more involved with community service.

But so much for that, today I had a once in a lifetime experience for my Anatomy class. We went to this place called Parker College and we watch, touch and basically smell a cadaver. I'm not sure if I really want to blog about it here but I find it really interesting due to the fact that I have been 5 bodies... that has been dissected for the purpose of science. Yes! I even get to see 4 heart, real heart. One interesting heart that I've seen was from someone who had an issue with his left heart not functioning. And what they did was attached a pump that will serve as the left heart. And this "thing" that was attached to the heart looks like an ordinary pipe, like the pipes that they used in running water. And the head of the Gross Anatomy department said that it was the latest technology that is being used for people that are having heart failure of some sort. I've also learned and saw quite a few things that involves dementia and alzeimers. Do you know that the brain of the person with dementia has little holes in them. They are just tiny little holes. While the brain of a person with alzeimers has a larger grove and it ways half the normal brain. So pretty much what happens is because the brain is shrinking, it forgets all its functions, leading to the death of the person. And I was going to get a business card from the head of the department but totally forgot... the reason is that if there are somebody who wants to donate their body for science, Parker College is one of the places that you can donate it too. For more information about their program you can head out to their website.

So, my afternoon was spent pretty much with dead people.

As for my girly girl... tomorrow will be her first time in a "day care"... yes, we are actually leaving her with somebody we don't know. It's not really a permanent thing but it's just something that we cannot avoid. I have school in the morning and my husband has an interview for work and we cannot find somebody to baby sit her on a one on one basis. My baby sitter is not available in the morning so it was our last option. We found this place called SS Noah and what they do take drop off. That means that if you want to do your errands or go for a date night, unexpected schedule conflict they can take your child and watch them for a couple of hours.

The hourly rate is not too bad... and the place is big enough that they can accomodate a lot of kids. It looks like one of those play areas for kids. And to be able to start dropping off your kids, there is a membership fee that you have to pay. It's probably the reason why the hourly rate is not too bad. If you are only doing it for let's say emergencies then its affordable. But anyway, I don't know what's going to happen tomorrow because Isabella will be there for atleast 4 hours.

She seemed to like it tonight when we were there, but that is because her parents were there. Hopefully, she will be okay and not fuss about it because this is her first time with a stranger.
