One of the issues for people who are blogging or just for people who are always typing and encoding information is that the ability to type faster. For people who can type faster it is not an issue but for those people who cannot type fast, having some help is actually nice.

All I have to do is start talking and it does all the typing and work for me. But of course since it will do all the typing for you, the words and punctuations should be specific.

State Fair Fun

Have you been to the State Fair in Texas? If you haven't then you should visit it. I particularly love seeing all the rides, although I don't ride myself. I am so scared that I might just have a heart attack if I did or better yet an asthma attack, how's that for fun.

Another one that I particularly like is the light show that they are doing. It's an amazing event. And of course my husband loves the exhibit of different cars. Last Saturday, that was our first stop, the car shows. And I am quite amazed of myself because I am finding all the little cars really nice. I don't know a whole lot about cars but when I see something that is nice I stick with it. And today we have seen all the latest models and they are interesting.

Here's 2 photos that was taken while we were at the car show. This was taken by one of the employee there are the car show. They have this free photo and it will be uploaded on their website.

So below is our photo on the jeep's website. Isn't that cool? I was planning of studying and finishing up my labs for statistic but hubby has a different plan. So we ended up going to the fair. Which wasn't too bad. I think my daughter actually enjoys it. People has been noticing her because she was wearing her shoes that makes some squicky sounds. I want to make sure that if she walks off, we can still find her.

Some of the highlights that you can see when you visit the Texas State are:

Illumination Sensation. Spectacular light show captures the Ignite Your Senses! theme with high tech visual effects, fire and pyrotechnics. Nightly, 8 p.m., along the 700-ft. Esplanade reflecting pool.

Texas Skyway. High-flying fun, plus a panoramic view, awaits passengers gliding above Fair Park in 35 Art Deco-inspired gondolas. Traveling more than 1,800 ft. from one station to the other, it accommodates passengers with strollers or wheelchairs.

Startlight Parade. The after-dark favorite features illuminated floats, giant puppets and characters in fantastic costumes. This bright extravaganza glides through the park nightly at 7:15 p.m.

Auto Show. Filling two exhibit halls and outdoor displays, the biggest new car and truck show in the Southwest features 2009 models, plus concept vehicles and weekend rallies for collectors. Admission is FREE for all State Fair visitors.

So if you haven't been to the Texas State Fair now is your chance to see it. There's something for every family member.

..slow as a tortoise

Shhhh... don't tell, but I just have to blog about it. Yup! This is about my husband's laptop. It is as slow as a tortoise. But I guess I can't complain because the laptop is really old and can you imagined we bought it for $25.00. Yes! You're reading it right a whooping $25.00 bucks.

I love to go to yard sale and look around and one time we went to one and he found some electronics and got into talking to the seller. Although the one that being sold are not going to work for my husband the guy said that he has a laptop that it won't boot up. So my husband check on it and the guy said he wants $25 for it. And so they got into agreement and my husband ended up buying it.

And my husband wipe up the drive, format it and install Windows XP on it. But since the laptop is old it doesn't have enough memory to handle all the files. So my husband bought and install more memory on it and it had work fine since then. But now that he added some more programs on the laptop it is dragging the speed, it is really slow.

When our main computer crash because of the spyware I used the laptop for blogging and let me tell you that was a headache. I guess it's time to get the husband a new laptop. He really needs it. I been monopolizing the main computer and he can't use it anymore.

The Little Kiddo's Room

A couple of weeks ago, we finally converted the crib of my daughter into a toddler bed and she is loving it. Although she is not really sleeping there yet.. hopefully here in the next coming month or so. And since she can actually reach and just climb up on it she uses it when she is playing.

I also got some catalog in the mail with some gorgeous baby bedding on it and I plan of using it once she started using her bed. I just can't get enough of kids accessories that when I shop, I don't shop for myself anymore instead I always end up buying stuff for my daughter. I guess that's what happen when you become a mom, priorities switch.

The photo above is just a sample of a room that was taken from the catalog that I got. And I particularly love the bright colors on this one. They are so vivid in color and since we have been learning the colors, these will be a great help with her learning. There's still a lot more of designs to choose from. For now I am just trying to come up with some other designs that I can add to her room.

No Result Yet

May husband was on an accident a couple of months ago and his co-worker referred him to a previous lawyer that he used when he had an accident. And until now, the case is still pending.

I don't know what's the hold on my husband's case but it has been a while. And I am guessing that the insurance company don't want to pay or settle. The problem is it's the driver of the trucking company that was at fault. He failed to stop and hit with his truck the little old van that my husband was driving and the vehicle was drag and spun almost 360 degrees. My husband has to do a therapy for a month because he hurt his back.

I hope we get some good news soon. If not then we might try the South Carolina injury lawyer because I've heard that they are really good. Hopefully they can help my husband win his case. And settle everything so we don't have to keep on waiting.

Cathing The Remains of Summer

Fall has officially started the other day and I can feel the cold breeze in the morning and in the evening. And although I am not looking forward to the winter, I know that it will be here soon. For somebody who is used to the warm weather, winter is not something to look forward to. Although I love it when it's snowing. But not when I have to drive.

The weather was gorgeous yesterday and so we went outside to water the yard and plants. And of course that means the little one gets to play outside. Well she has this thing that whenever I water the plants she would start playing and chasing the water coming from the hose. So most of the time she ends up wet after I am done watering the yard.

So instead of letting her chase the hose, I decided to let her play on the yard. And here's what she did. She took the hose from me after she got tired of playing with the water and she said she was watering the yard. Well so much for me doing the watering. So here she is trying to catch what's left of the summer heat.

Rubber Stamps On Sale at Vista Print

Vista print is one of my favorite online store. Not only that I can find most of my office, school and business needs but they are always giving discounts and freebies. Right now they are running a sale, 50% off for small rubber stamps just by using the code Stamps50.

I remember when we started our business, we were needing a stamp so we can use it for our receipt. We got one from a local store and it was one of those that they have to cut out the letters. I know it was old school. It work for a little while but we needed something that is neat and easy to use.

After searching for a while I found rubber stamps from Vista Print and immediately order one. And so far the stamp has always done its job and it wasn't messy.

The price of the stamp starts from $12.99 and you can use either a small or large stamp. You can also customized the design that you want or you can use a design template and then change the text and other information. If you want to add the logo of your business then you can upload your logo during the design process.

So if you are interested in getting a rubber stamp, go online and go to VistaPrint.com.

My Best Friend's Wedding

Now hold it! This is not like the movie my best friends wedding where the best friend is in love with the guy. No no no no... This is my best friend's wedding (Jane) last 2 weeks ago. I just now saw the photos and it almost made me cry. She looks so radiant with her wedding gown and she is just glowing. She looks so darn adorable. Oh I meant that in a positive way.

The reason that it almost made me cry, it's because I missed it. Yup! The wedding was in Netherlands (Holland) and I just don't have enough money to fly and go. I really wanted to see her wedding. Plus it will be a great get together, for we haven't seen each other for so long. We been friends since high school days (sophomore year).

She hasn't even met my husband personally nor have I met her husband personally. But we are in constant contact and hopefully in the near future we can all get together.

For you Jane, best wishes..for Jeff, congratulations... cheers!! Welcome to the world of marriage. ;) (Photo's best viewed with Firefox browser)

Is It Too Early For Halloween Yet?

The next big celebration is Halloween and everywhere you look, there are traces and signs of Halloween. The decor, costumes, parties are all part of this celebration. And if you are in places like Las Vegas, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago area I bet it is well celebrated. It would be nice if we can celebrate Halloween somewhere else, like Las Vegas maybe. I bet hotels in las vegas during this season are pack and it would be difficult to book a room. Let's face it, there are a lot of people that are into partying.

On the side note, last night we were at Walgreen's trying to get a refill for our printer ink, we look around while waiting and they have a dedicated aisle just for Halloween accessories. Then they have this old guy hanging on the shelve and when you walk by, it moves (sensor type display) and my daughter freak out.

The other day, we went to the grocery store and look around for some costumes but instead indeed up buying an Elmo basket for trick or treat. I guess we were more excited for the festivities than our little one. So we ended up getting her the basket. We also got her some crafty stickers and we ended up decorating her Elmo basket. Hopefully, when Halloween comes, the basket is still in good shape.

A Spectacular Event

Yesterday we were running behind for the Plano Balloon Festival but we made it. This is a yearly event celebrated with the display of floating-glow balloons and fireworks display. The photo below is courtesy of Plano Balloon Festival Site.

An event that you surely don't want to miss. My family started going to the festival last year and we loved it. The balloon will glow to the tune of the music and it's just amazing. Aside from the balloons that you can see, there was also a concert with the guest band "Me & My Monkey".

Since we were late, we didn't get to see the balloons. But we were there for the fireworks and it was the longest fireworks. My daughter got a little scared, not because of the fireworks but because of the loud music. We didn't noticed that we were too close to the speaker until they started the fireworks and the music. Boy! She was frightened. We have to cover her ears just so she can watch the fireworks. Before that the band was playing all of Beatles songs and the little one was just dancing away. Let me tell you, this little girl can bust some funny moves.. (flapping her hands.. lol)

I have a video of Isabella dancing but it doesn't have any sounds, :( just watch the dance moves.

Beading Time

We were out most of the afternoon and early nighttime today. After we got back from Gattitown to have our late lunch, we went to the grocery store to pick up a few things that we need for the house. And of course the little one always gets a little treat since we have an extra to spare for her. She loves stickers so I decided to get her some stickers (foam stickers) that we can use whenever we do some crafting at home. I got her a mixture of designs, ranging from letters, sea creatures, bugs, fishes, etc and she just loves it. While we were on crafting aisle, I was able to browse around for some gemstone beads. I would love to learn how to create some fancy jewelries using beads. And there was this lady that has a lot of beads on her cart. I am so jealous of those that can create something out of beads.

So when we got home, I check out online to see if I can find some places that does wholesale gemstone beads and see if I can afford it. And I found BeadsofCambay.com which offers different kinds of gemstones at a wholesale price.

Must be my lucky day because they are offering 30% off for high quality wholesale beads. And since they are offering this great discount, I am so tempted to call my sister and ask her if she wants to start making some bead products as well.

We Got Hit!

Seriously, I think we got hit... hit by the sickness of weather changing all the time. Yesterday afternoon we went out to eat lunch and we order some ice cream for dessert. And I told my husband that my throat was hurting... and he said maybe it was just because of the ice cream... to sweet.

Comes night time, it had gotten worse. My daughter keeps waking up and crying I guess because of her throat hurting to... but we actually thought that it was her gums that was bothering her because she was drooling a lot. I know she wasn't feeling good because everytime I put her down, she will cry and wake up. And when I woke up today, I can't barely talk.. no words are coming out of my mouth and all I can say is shake my head ... it's laryngitis. So I went to gargle with warm water and salt to ease up the pain on my throat. The little one had a little bit of fever too.. Don't you just hate it when your family is not feeling well. I don't like it when family members get sick. What more if somebody I know is doing some kind of drug treatment. That's just horrible.

All these due to changes of weather. I hate it when this happens.. not only that it's uncomfortable, it's just difficult if family members get sick. However, the good thing about it is that we all get to stay at home and spend more time. I even have some time to read some magazines and read about some famous people who went to drug rehab because they are out of control. What is happening to the world?

Just some thoughts for tonight before I start doing some school work.

The Moon: wordless wednesday

On my way home tonight from school I had a glimpse of the full moon... really pretty. I wanted to stop and take a picture of it but didn't get the chance. So while I was driving I keep looking at it and when I got home I took a picture of it, this time it wasn't as big...just a couple of minutes when I saw it from the airport.

Here's a glimpse of the moon last night, a wordless Wednesday entry.

The Little One is Turning 2!

The little one is turning 2 today... it seems like it was only yesterday when we brought her home from the hospital. So tiny and helpless (although she is still tiny now) and now she is becoming the independent little girl. She has quite learned a few things here and there.. One of the favorite words that I love to hear her say is "i love you" but it sounds more like "i need/read you". I still can quite make out the middle word. We are not doing any party today because we already did it yesterday... very simple one.. together with my family and of course her favorite "ate" Sam (cousin but she is calling her big sister). We got her an ice cream cake from Baskin and Robbins (by the way it was so good)... We are not a big fan of cakes so we decided to get the tiniest cake ever, we don't want to let it go to waste. So we figure that if the cake is small, we might be able to eat all of it and we did! Kudos to us!

After we eat (we went to Gatti Town) we headed to the play area. The last time we were there, the little one hit the jackpot on of the games. And we got us a nice toy out of it. We didn't use up all the points from the last time (there was 150 left) and today we tried playing the game again. Hopping, yup! Hopping to hit that jackpot again.... well guess what, she hit the jackpot twice. Wow! She is one lucky girl. So we accumulated about 650 points.

Maybe I need to bring her to the casino and let her play with one of the slot machines. Maybe will hit a jackpot, but come to find out minors are not allowed inside.. that's a bummer! Hmmm, I think I'm just gonna let her pick the number for the lotto ticket. What you'd all think?

Happy Birthday to our Little Peanut!

Busy... busy... busy

My life these days are just busy. I can't even take a break for a quick nap. Lot's of things to do. There's the laundry that needs to be finish, cleaning up the house, tidy up the clothes that has been washed. Assignments that needs to be done both on paper and online, lab reports that needs to be written, books that needs to be read, needs to study for my Anatomy and Physiology class. I have a couple of tests this coming week. We have a quiz on Tuesday and then a lab practical test on Thursday and then after this week, there is another test on my lecture part for A & P. Then my statistic class I have to finish my labs online and I have to take my first test sometime this week.

Don't forget the blogging part as well. I have a few designs that I have to finish for blog makeover and make sure that my other 3 blogs are updated. I have a couple of tags that are long overdue. So sorry to all the taggers, I promised I will grab them as soon as I get some time from all the school stuff that I have to finish. I save them all on my favorites so I will not forget. You know when you have a lot of things to do, you have to find ways to make sure that you don't forget anything. I am just grateful for the taggers because they still remember me.

I am still here, but not as active as before. I have to make my school as priority and of course the design business for I have clients there too.

Oh and tomorrow is my little one's birthday. She will be turning 2.... but we are done celebrating it. We had a great time and I am sure she did to. I am going to post some photo's as soon as my sister sent me some copies.
