If you own a blog or a website you need to at least know some basic HTML coding in order to maintain and operate it. However, not everybody are technical enough to handle everything, we still need the help of a
gadget advisor. Even myself, whenever there are some new things that I haven't encounter I turn to the pro.
Back when I was making our business website, I have to learn how to use and the coding for OsCommerce. It was the platform that we were using for the online store that we had. And that time I was just learning the ins and outs specially for things like link exchange, building traffic, marketing and how to make sure that our site was index by Google. I don't want to waste my time creating the website and when they type it on Google search, they can't find it. That's just a waist of time.
Over the years, of course I have learned a few tricks of the trade specially being able to see immediately tell if the page is cached by Google. And I found this cool gadget called
Google Cache Checker Firefox extension which will tell you immediately if the current page that you are in is cached by Google. Very handy specially for link exchange and marketing.
I have also learned that having Internet Explorer mainly as my browser is not really a good practice. It's always good to try out new browser and new features in order to keep yourself up to date. And now that I am using Firefox as my main browser, (I still have Internet Explorer.. using it as a supplementary browser specially for my designs)it's good to know that they are supporting a lot of extensions. These are add ons that build on the functionality of browser. For more information on
best extensions for Firefox you can click on the link.
With all of the technical stuff that we have to deal with, there are times that we just want somebody to do all these for us. Believe me I have those moments too. Even though I can usually work my way out on some of these technical jargon, there are still times that all I can do is scratched my head because I am lost of answers. Good thing my husband is good with computer hardware... hardware is my weak part. I am pretty good with software, I can work my way with it but not with hardware. That's why when I've heard about the software called Blaze Media Pro, an audio and video converter I just have to look for a
Blaze Media Pro review to find out more information about it. And when I wasn't able to figure things out, husband is always to the rescue.
So if you are not so techie or even those who knows a little but have some questions, turn to Gadget Advisor. They can be found at www.gadgetadvisor.com.
