I'm watching you

I was browsing today and I found this video. And I want to share it to parents out there. It aimed towards the dad but I think its also towards the mom. And if you don't have any children but have nieces, nephews and always around kids, this is also for you. I find this really inspiring and true and I wanted to start the new year with some very inspirational and something we can live by.

A lot of us parents don't realize how great is the impact of our behavior that we show towards our kids. Not only to them but towards other people as well. How you react to certain situation or how to handle issues in your family. All these and some other things are being seen by our kids. Let's start the new year differently. If you decided to brave the the shopping malls today, how was it? A lot of headache but definitely a lot of bargains. It's better to save it the other day in order to save yourself from headache. However, there is an exemption to that. If you are exchanging items for a different size or style there's a possibility that the stock might run out quickly. After Christmas is also a great way to stock on gifts or buy in advance. Just make sure that you have a specific purpose for everything you buy. When buying things, make sure you have a particular person to give it to. Or that you really wanted and needed it, because the only reason you are buying it is because its on sale, then your money is not really worth it and it might just ends up being forgotten in your drawer until its out of fashion.

Get Diet Solutions: A Review

So I have been talking about diet pills lately. I guess because I have been trying to take off some of my excess pounds but is having a hard time. Yeah, I admit it is really difficult to lose that extra pounds I've gained over the course of time.

So I've been reading some reviews about diet pills and I came across Fenphedra. According to one site that I found that did a review of the diet pill it is claiming that it is a CART (Cocaine-Amphetamine-Regulatory-Transcript) activator and NPY (Neuropeptide Y) inhibitor. This means that it helps trigger the signal in our brain to make us feel we are full so we are going to stop eating. I think this is how most diet pills work. It is targeting the main component of our brain so it will give that signal so our body will work different ways.

I wonder if it has some side effects? Since it is targeting some nerves in the brain it may cause some side effects. That wasn't really mention on the review I found. I guess I just have to do my own research on that. And there are a lot of review sites out there that offer a comprehensive information, like getdietsolutions.com. This site offers a valuable insights about most diet pills that are well known in the market.

Why it is so difficult?

Okay, is there such a thing? I mean its holiday, it's just once a year. You don't get to celebrate it again until next year. So why would I want to do some dieting?

I guess I am just the type of person who just doesn't care if I gained some pounds as long as I celebrate the holiday. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to gain anymore pounds on me, as a matter of fact I really need to lose at least 10 lbs. And with the lifestyle that I have right now, losing the 10 pounds is hard work. And I always tell my friends before it is difficult to gain weight, but they always tells me that it is more difficult to lose weight.. no wonder. Now I know.

Back then I was a stick. I can eat anything and not gain any. But after I gave birth, losing the extra pounds is a struggle. I guess because I don't do a lot of exercise anymore as compare to when I was younger. And I'm not as active.

I've seen some reviews about some Hydroxycut reviews a while back and found out that it is one of the most famous and well known fat burners around. And there are times that I am really tempted to go with the diet pills. But I hate any type of pills. I guess that's why I haven't really tried one so far.

A nutcase or a good samaritan?

Last night we drop off my husband to work for his shift for work is 12 hours. So he is working from 11pm to 11am and he doesn't want to drive home knowing that he will be too sleepy and might have an accident. So arrangement was to drop him off and pick him up in the morning. And that's what we did.

One our way home, I noticed that there was this suv who keeps flashing his light behind us. I changed lane for it was blinding me. But he also changed lane and start flashing his lights again. I keep looking at the side of our truck to make sure that our gas cap is on or something might be wrong with the truck. And then finally he caught up with me and he was trying to signal about something, pointing towards my vehicle. This time I am getting a bit antsy. I feel like I was in Las Vegas and was trying to look at las vegas strip map which I cannot figure.

I keep wondering what was wrong with my vehicle. So I called my husband to let him know that I am going to stop just to make sure that in case something happen he knows... but no answer.. I called him again.. still no answer. So I decided to exit the freeway and head out to the closest gas station. And the guy was still following me. He was going to park to an empty parking lot but I didn't stop there. I went ahead and stop by at the gasoline station. I want to make sure that the area has enough light so I can see the face of the person and at the same time there's people that can see us.

I may sound like I am paranoid, but I have my daughter with me and if the guy is a nutcase I want to make sure that we are safe.

So I stop but I didn't got out of the vehicle. I was trying to figure out what was wrong with my vehicle. Finally when he park beside my vehicle we both roll down our window and he said "I was just trying to tell you that you headlight was not on."

Well for some reason I didn't notice that my headlight wasn't on. I guess because the freeway was bright enough that even though I don't have my headlight I am still fine. I guess when my husband turn off the light inside he didn't fully turn the switch back. But, I was relieved, for that short time that I was trying to figure out what was wrong and at the same time trying to decide if I am going to stop is finally over. Whew! That was some night.

Simple joy makes the biggest memory

For the past couple of days the weather here in Texas has been really cold. Though I am sure that it is colder in other parts of the US. But when you live in Texas for a while, it's a little harder to get used to the cold weather since it's always warm. But today, we had the perfect weather. Not to cold but not warm either, just right.

The sun was even out and I was happy for I have been wanting to rake the leaves in our yard. Just imagine, we have 2 mature trees infront of our house, 2 on the side, and 3 at the back. And pretty much all the leaves are all gone so you can imagine how much leaves is in our yard. Like I said it has been really cold the past couple of weeks and life has been pretty crazy in my household so I don't have time to do any raking. But finally today was the day.. or should I say the start of the day.

I was able to finish raking the leaves in front of our house but I just piled them up for I don't have enough energy to put them on a garbage bag. So I think I am just going to leave it there for now. The side and back part of the house is still waiting for me.

While I was in the process of raking the leaves, my little girl are absolutely enjoying the time outside. I guess she has been inside the house so much that she was just happy to be outside the house. We were probably outside for atleast 3 hours. I was able to take a couple of shot of her playing in the pile of leaves. And manage to add the photo on a premade scrap layout. So here it is. I hope you like the layout.

What am I doing?

Okay, what am I doing? I feel like I am making an impulse decisions again. The reason I said this is because I just bought another domain. Yes, you are reading it right. I just bought another domain. What am I thinking?

This time not only that I bought a domain, I am paying the service on a monthly basis... I think I just hit myself with a rock. I don't even know how I can pay the monthly service for it. The monthly payment is not that much but just the thought of it now is scaring me. I don't know why I have this issue that when I want something I won't stop until I get it.. and then later on I will regret it.

I bought a domain for the online community that I've created. It's called YCSCians.org. I been blogging about it here and on my other blog for a while now. I was just overwhelmed on how fast we have grown in a month. I guess it's one of the reason also why I bought a domain for it. Not only that it will look more professional but the thought of having its own domain just keep crossing my mind.. so now, there it is, finally.. I made the decision of getting a domain for it.

I also have some big plans for the site that's why having it's own domain sounds so good. I just hope that I can sustain it. But I still hate the fact that I am making this impulse decision. I really hate it.

Inventory...

I been contemplating the other day about the inventory that we have when we were doing some flea market and online business. And I remembered that we still have some of those 5.11 Knives that we used to sell. It was a bulk order that until now we have them in stock. I remember my husband gave some of them to the fire station when we used to live in Mckinney and he also donated some to the police station.

And since we are not doing the flea market anymore and the online business, we might just end up donating the rest of them. I have to make sure how many we have and see if the local police station here in our area needs them. That would be nice gift to the station. The station here is so small that I don't think they are getting a whole lot of things.

Leg pain and bruises

I been having some leg pain lately.. I am not sure what's causing it.. not yet anyway. I used to have this issue with my legs.. it would hurt so bad that I cannot even walk..

And lately I am having the same pain again. I was thinking that maybe I have Plantar Fasciitis. But the pain is towards the back of my calf and its doesn't matter if I did a lot of walking or didn't do any.

Like yesterday we went to the Galleria of Dallas to watch the Christmas tree lights up and then to Santa's Village and when we got home my legs were killing me. I have to put some salonpas, its one of those pain reliever patch so I can at least sleep at night. It's bothering because even though I am just at home doing my regular chores at night I would have those leg pains. I have to probably see a specialist for these pain. And then I been getting a lot of bruises also. I don't know how I am getting them. My husband would ask me if I bump into something and I don't recall bumping into something. Like right now I have 2 bruises.. one in my arm and one in my knee. Don't ask me how I got it... I don't know.

..for emergency only

One of the thing that I find really important at home is an emergency light. The main reason is during the night when there's a shortage of electricity there's always a back up. If you have kids at home this is really useful. Emergency light is widely used back in the Philippines. However, over here in the US, I don't really see it that much. Most of the time I only see it for people who are camping.

It's a bit weird for me when I was looking for one after I gave birth because I cannot find one. Well not in the area of the store that I was looking for anyway. I guess with the stability of electricity here in the US, having one is really not necessary. But I found a small camping light which comes in handy from time to time. And if its not being used, my little girl used it as her light in her tent.

...and so it was born

Almost 3 weeks ago when the site started... November 15, 2008 to be exact. I was browsing on my high school community online trying to remember some of my classmates. Trying to remember what are the names of these people who were in our class photo.

I guess I am really getting old, for some reason I know the face but I cannot remember the name. But it feels like it was just yesterday when I was in high school, having fun with friends.

As I browse around, I saw some people that were really familiar, my heart skip a little bit. It was somebody that I had a huge crush. I got excited and I actually add him as my friend. I was thinking... telling myself, "Hey, we're all adults now.. beside it was in the past..." I actually had the guts to send him a message letting him know I am adding him on my friends list. He was probably wondering why I am adding him were not even classmate.

But this is not about the old crushes... old fling or "MU" as what they call it, but the thought of being able to connect and find people that you have been close before. The people that you used to know, cry with and laugh with. That for some reason, you lost contact with. Its about finding out what happened to them? How are they now? I wonder if they still remember me? Or at least can recognized me if they see me.. read more

It's been ages...

Wow, it feels like it's been ages since I last blog here. Although that was just last Wednesday, I feel like it's been months. I guess I just got used to blogging here everyday before. Schedule been crazy these days and I have been busy with the online community that I started called Youth Community Service Club (online community). The reason I added the "online community" is because it is an existing organization all over the Philippines and the current members are college students. I am still part of it as an Alumni.

Today, my little girl and husband went to see the parade over at Downtown Dallas. I didn't get to watch it with them. I went to school, can't miss it... we have to do a review for the finals. Got my last test as well, didn't do to bad... miss 3 questions.

Then I thought I will be staying in the school for a while, waiting for them to get me... I was planning of doing some studying for my anatomy.. didn't happen. My husband called in, I was still in class... they are on the way. Wow! that was fast. Didn't even get a chance to get out of class. Well there goes my studying.

It's just a little harder to study when I get home. To many things to do... to many destruction's, I cannot concentrate. But then come to think of, it feels good to be home. Cozy and I can relax and sleep a little bit, surf for some bearings, moderate the community and get cozy with my husband..I think I like the last part.

I cannot wait for break from school. I have never imagined myself saying those lines... I have been always an eager student but for some reason lately I just don't have the desire... just for one particular subject though... hopefully the break will help stay focus..
