Fine Linens

I was browsing the other day and I found this Sferra linens and it just caught my attention. The reason I say that it captured me is because I have been planning of getting some new linens since we are getting ready to start remodeling our masters bedroom. We have quite a bit of things going on lately in our house starting from the carpet. Yes! Finally, we are getting rid of the pink carpet.. whohoo!

I can't imagine that finally we are getting rid of the pink carpet. It feels like it has been forever. Well maybe that was an under statement. Since we were getting our carpet replace.. this time with something way much better from one of the store that we looked at. And I think with the new carpet, its just about time that we pamper ourselves to a more luxurious linens. The photo on the left side is exactly the color that I was looking for. It will go pretty nice with the brown and blue motif that I have in mind. Sometimes I have this ideas for the bedroom on how I want it to look but since we haven't had the budget for carpet we can't do it. But now, finally we can overhaul the bedroom too. I can't wait!

This lovely lines will definitely look gorgeous on that new master's bedroom.

Tada! Got What I want

Isn't it amazing when you get exactly what you want? Well, I'm not trying to be bitchy or being proud but actually this is something that I want to be proud of.

Valentines day, we didn't really do anything. No dinner date whatsoever, but my husband got me a dozen pink roses and a card. Our little girl also got a card from her dad. I on the other hand gave him something that he can use. (I gave him a short the following day) I am the type of person that whenever I gave something that he can use. Not that I am not happy with the roses he gave me because I am. I love the flowers and the card he gave me. But as far as dinner date we didn't do any. He work schedule is 2nd shift so there's really not any room for any. Plus we didn't really plan for any, beside my birthday is coming in 4 days. Instead yesterday we went out shopping for... a new notebook. Yup! I have been blogging about it here.. that I really want to get a new one. I was using my sistes laptop for a while and before that I was using the desktop and whenever he wants to use the computer he has to wait. Or he can use the older laptop he was using for work.

So finally yesterday we made a decision to look for one. And we found a great deal from Fry's. So now I am using my new notebook. Whohoo!!! It's really cute and light weight. Even the color is cute. It's like a rusty looking and it comes with all of the features that I am looking for: webcam, built in mic, lots and lot of hard drive space and memory and some added features that me and my husband wants to have. And having it handy in the new notebook is great. So wasn't that much better than going on a dinner date? Well for me it is...

On the side note, I also started a little bit of working out in order to tone my body. I don't really have a lot of weights that I need to lose but I still have to work on toning my body and lose a little bit of inches on the mid section and belly area. I can actually use the pants that I was using before I got pregnant so that's a great sign there. Although I did check out some diet pills before to make the losing of weight faster but I guess it was really meant for me to lose it without using any pills.

So it all works great. Got me a new laptop and I am almost to the weight that I am hoping for. Great start for this year.

Looking for some gifts?

Happy Valentines Everybody! What's your gift for your man for this valentine? As far as my valentine and my gift... that's something that I still have to work on. I know, tomorrow is valentines and I still don't know what to give. I saw some sports items online the other day and I was thinking maybe sports gifts will be great, but then come to think of it, my husband don't really have any sports as of the moment. He used to play baseball when he was younger but as he gets older he is not much into sports. He stop when his mom died. I think that has a huge impact too why he stop playing.

Although he is not into sports now, it doesn't mean that he is not watching any sports. From time to time he still watch some on TV. We been planning of going to a game but we just never found the time. Hopefully this year since our daughter is much older now. I am sure she will enjoy being outside too.

I Desperately Need One

Keeping time when you have a lot of things going on is a bit difficult. Now keeping time when you don't have a way of checking it is even harder. It's been a while since I stop wearing a watch due to the fact that the last watch I own got broke. My daughter was playing with it one day and got dropped and the glass on it broke. So now I am left with no watch whatsoever.

The last time we went to the store I actually look around if I can see some designs that will catch my eyes. I saw this Jaeger Lecoultre design and it was really cute. I may have to go back and check on it again to make sure I really like it. I have the tendency to like something first look and then when I come back and check on it again, I don't like it as much.

Right now I think I can still make it without a watch but I have to look again and get one.

What's Your Plan For Valentines Day?

Okay, I haven't even notice that there's only a few days to go and it's Valentine's Day. Wow! That fast. It just seems like yesterday when we celebrated Valentines Day. Well the reason I said that it was just yesterday it's because a week after valentine's day it will be my birthday. Yup! I am adding another year on my age. Does it sound like I am regretting the last year? Well not really, there's so much stuff that happened for the whole year that I don't think I will wish for something to change. I won't change a bit of it.

Well, this is suppose to be about valentine's day. I got a little sidetrack. You know when it comes to birthday's I get to sentimental sometimes.

Anyways, do you have any plans for Valentine's already? If you ask me, I don't. I have no idea what to give my husband. Well, I did a little something something for him actually. Since I can't think of anything else, I recorded a song for him on the computer using the video camera. I think it turns out decent enough that he will actually like it. Hopefully! I am crossing my fingers on that. I really wanted to do something that will not break my budget. You know its hard to think of something if you don't have any money to spare.

I was actually going to try to join a contest on one of my social community. There's a contest where you can send your love story and if you win your husband/wife or boyfriend/girlfriend is the one who will get the gift. And if our story will win then my husband will win the wine of the month. The only issue with it is that we don't really drink a lot. We do socially or if there is a special occasion. So if I win, the wine will just sit for a while. Oh, we can drink it on my birthday.

Procrastination: My Greatest Enemy

I have a ton of readings to do both for my Psychology class and Anatomy class, but I keep pushing it aside. I keep telling myself I will do it later I have plenty of time. My classes are Monday and Wednesday and I go to school for 5 hours, comes Thursday I want to read ahead so I don't get a whole lot of things pile up specially the readings. But Thursday came, Friday... Saturday... and before I knew it... it's Sunday... and I haven't done any reading.

I told myself that this semester it will be different but I am still seeing the same pattern in my studying behavior and it gets really frustrating. I am not like this before. There so much stuff going on that I cannot concentrate even though I know I really need to.

This procrastination thing is really getting into me. But I know I can do it. I can overcome it. The reason I say this is because whenever I start doing something I can really go for it. Like the other day I was on a roll to clean up the kitchen and even did some rearranging. It reminds of the days of moth traps. I don't know how that came into picture but it just did. But don't you just hate it when it comes to character. The more I think about it, I feel like it is becoming more of a character... a negative character for me.
