Human Growth Hormone

I have a question: Would you let you kids have the human growth hormones?

According to a website that I've read about hgh supplements, HGH injection is an FDA approved to treat kids that are not producing enough of this hormone. It is also being used for patients that had surgery, radiation and is now lacking this hormone. But even though it has been approved, it still comes with a lot of risk. Which by the way, all medications comes with risk.

So why does a lot of people still use steroids?

This is another of those question that I cannot answer. If you want to share your insight about this, feel free to leave your comment. I want to read all about it.

Although it makes me think that I should have probably had this injections when I was a kid, maybe I could have grown a little bit taller.

There's just so much controversies about growth hormones. But as far as I know the only FDA approved was the one to treat children's growth disorders and adult growth hormone deficiency. It can only be purchased if you have a prescription from a doctor.


Another FDA approved use of growth hormone is the one that is being used for cow specific form of growth hormone. It's called bovine somatotropin for increasing milk production in dairy cows. No wonder there's commercial that says their milk is all natural... probably without the growth hormone. But who knows right.

Do they work?

Diet pills, do they work? Without exercise and food modifications. You take the pills but don't change any of your food choices, you still eat the same stuff. You don't do any exercise... pretty much doing the same routine and eating the same stuff that you been eating before you start taking diet pills. So, does it work?

I can't answer my question personally, because I haven't really tried any. But according to the books and research I've read it does but only for a short while. Some will let you lose a lot of weight in an instant but you can't just keep taking the pills forever. At some point in your life you have to stop.

After you stop taking the pills, most of the time the weight will come back. The reason which I know most of you know is because, the person taking the pills did not really do any modifications as far as lifestyle. No exercise was incorporated, no food changes.

The maintenance is the one that is difficult to achieve. This personally I can agree. I mean I don't have a lot of weight to lose but doing the maintenance, exercise and eating healthy sometimes is hard.

ONE BRAND FITS ALL

So while we are on the topic about acne, here's the real question. What is the real acne treatment that work, is it a natural acne treatment, surgical or ????

I guess nobody really knows, until some scientist discover something that will work for everybody. Let's face it, there's so many brand and cosmetics in the market that you just don't know which one. As I always recommend, to consult a dermatologist because every individual is different. One can really not generalized and assume that one brand will work for everybody.

It sure sounds good though, ONE BRAND FITS ALL... its like one size fits all... which by the way don't work. So not true. I hate those that makes clothing or stuff and it says free size or one size fits all. It's totally not working for consumers like me.

There's just no personalization and it feels like there's no individuality. Everybody is the same.

I didn't know it comes in pills

I didn't know indeed. I thought that acne medications comes only in liquid. I guess I had it stereo type in my mind that all acne medications comes in liquid form and that you have to apply it in your face, sort of like an ointment in order to work. Oh well, there's always new things you can learn everyday. As they say, knowledge is power right?

I found this photo online, sort of "cartoonish" with the woman having scars from all the acne. And this one I know there are some topical ointments as well as pills that can help with the scars. Although most of the scar have to be removed by skin resurfacing. It's probably a bit costly... I wonder if I can afford it. My skins is not that bad, it just need a little pampering.

Health Issues: Losing weight

Losing weight...not only that it can make you feel better it can also make your body healthier. With some many complications associated with being overweight, no wonder there's so many people that want to lose those extra weight. However, since we are in the age of the "DRIVE THRU" and "FAST FOOD" its tough for most people.

Today I checked what was the weight that is appropriate for my height and I found out that I am already over the recommended. It wasn't a whole lot but I know that since I have been eating a lot of fast food, no time to cook to take to school and when I get home I am tired from being in school and work all day. There's just no way that I can still have the strength to do any decent cooking in order to make sure that my family is getting the right nutrient and not get overweight.

No wonder there's a lot of website that has been sprouting and talks about being overweight. You can also find a lot of diet pill reviews website with testimonials as well as diet pills recommendation. I've actually know a few people that are taking some diet pills in order to get back in shape. I so envy their motivations, I wish I have even just a little of it.

I was blogging about on my other blog on how the pores on my nose has been breaking out because I haven't been getting enough sleep and rest plus I have been so stressed out with all of the stuff for school. I barely have a time to study, and I need more time. So now, I am trying to find the best blackhead remover online to see if I can try it. Time To Expand

Having a small garage is not at all ideal for somebody who are using it for storage as well as a place to do install. That's what happens to our tiny garage. I cannot remember ever parking my car/suv there since we bought the house. With all of the stuff that we store there's just no way that an suv will fit.

After a few years my husband finally decided to remove some of the old stuff that has been there and finally we sold all the little cars that we have stored there and the shelves has been remove... now there's a little room to it. But now my husband is planning of moving all the stuff that he is using for the car audio business in the garage and turn the one behind it as a storage... and there's still no way that I can park my suv there... I though there for a second that I can finally park... oh well.

Makes me wonder if maybe we can just get one of those metal buildings shown below and make that as the installation area as well as a little office for the car audio business. There's two bay area and a little office, which makes it perfect. I think there's enough room/land by the backyard to add a building like this. I just don't know though were can we get the financing for it. It sure look good.

Weather in Texas

This is Texas, you can never tell what's going to happen.

Yesterday the weather was really nice... I even got a chance to walk outside without a sweater, today I won't dare go outside... there's a sheet of ice all over the road.

Health Care Industry

One of the industry that never seem to have any problem when it comes to work is the health care. There's always jobs in health care industry as they say.

When I graduated jobs in the computer where booming, but after I finished the demand was less. And a couple more years after a lot of the computer science graduate can barely find a decent job. I was lucky enough to land a great job that pays well.

It's one of the reason why I am changing career. If you are in the health care industry you can always find something. It's so specialized that once you graduate and get your licence you will find something. Specially if you are in the nursing career. The demands are high specially in home health. A lot of the baby boomer are reaching that age where they start going to independent living, long term care and some nursing homes. I have seen more and more elderly that are being treated in the hospital as well.

By the next 5-10 years, there's going to be more demand on places that cater to the needs of the older population. And people who has the ability and expertise/training dealing with elderly will be sought after.

What Happened to the Weather?

If you live in Texas, this kind of weather is unusual. People gets paralyzed and get stuck inside the house due to the cold weather. I don't know about you but if this keeps going I won't be able to go anywhere. There's just no way that I can drive in an icy road.

On the brighter side, really brighter side you have to wear a protective glasses just to see outside. The sun came out today but it's not doing anything. It's not even melting any of the snow... let me take that back, its making the outside really bright I can barely see.

Another brighter side is that I don't have to go to school. My test are being postponed but as soon as we have school, we're going to have the test. So now my school schedule is all mess up. It's all over the place now. It's a crisis and I get so out of focus that nothing is retaining whenever I am trying to study.

I hope mother nature won't be so bad this coming weekend and next week. It wont be Texas anymore if we keep on staying below 20. We might as well move to Alaska.
