Where did the spring go?

What happen to the spring weather...all of a sudden we are the 40's and I didn't even see the sun today. The sunflower that my daughter was trying to grow is beginning to freeze up.

With the weather being cold we can't really do anything in the yard. I had plans of maybe build a swing for our backyard but that didn't happen. Then, there's the painting of the fence which we can't start because it too cold to paint outside. And we were supposed to pain the box for the home speakers, but that one didn't happen either.

As my daughter said "I can't wait until summer!" With me, I can't wait until school is over so I can do stuff and not to worry about not passing any test because I didn't study. Whoah! How did I go there? Anyways, the weather is really messing up my plans for my yard...but I want to make this into positive. At least now I don't have to worry about the yard being to dry to start our vegetable garden.

Every Wednesday my daughter stays over at my sister's house after school until I pick her up when I get out of school and most of the time it's usually my niece that entertain and plays with her. Green Living : Shoe Basket

Spring time is here... I can see a lot of trees that are blooming, some of my plants are coming back to life and the grass in the backyard are starting to get taller. I am seeing a lot of weeds to. It that time of the year again. Time to do some "green cleaning". It's the best time to start involving kids and nurturing their love for the garden and nature. Not only for the garden but teaching them as well on how to keep the house clean and organized.

So I was thinking of maybe starting something CREATIVE for my blog. Although I don't know how I am going to accomplish this since I have so little time to do anything else. But I am hoping that I can start it. I just about it today while I was browsing and saw some cool ideas.

I think I might start with creating a shoe basket. Our house is small and there's really not a lot of storage space. And I am having a hard time finding some creative ways to make sure that our shoes are not all over the place.

So here's the project, it's called "SHOE BASKET". Right now all my daughter's shoes are by the doorway so I was thinking of buying a basket like this:



Then add the shoes.



I have some basket's around the house that I think I can empty out so I don't have to buy one. Then refurbish it and it should be perfect. I'll start with my little girls shoes and see how it works out.

Wide Open Space

So I've always wanted to have a huge land and have plenty of horses perhaps... but the problem is I dont know how to ride one. I'm sure I'll learn.

When I was a kid we live by a coconut plantation and I think it was beautiful. There's a lot of open space and it just seems endless and out of nowhere. As a matter of fact there was no electricity, no tv (we do have a radio), gosh it feels so old already... just thinking of not having any electricity when I was little.

There was this place that I love to see whenever we go to the lake and I keep forgetting to take a picture of it. But the place is so serene, huge land... ranch style. There's even one and its being used as a training area for equestrian.

I found a few photos online that I think is a description of what I am envisioning for. I hope to own one piece of land someday.
