Emma Hayes
Hey, I’m Emma Hayes. Yep, that’s really my name. Doesn’t it sound a bit like “amaze”? Or maybe “haze”? Or even “stargaze”? I tend to go off on little tangents like this a lot. It’s actually pretty handy for my job as a copywriter, where keeping things fresh is kind of my whole thing. I’ve written for brands you’ve probably seen in your inbox, or maybe on your shampoo bottle.
But tangents aren’t just for work. They’re also why I started this blog. When a chatterbox like me gets going on the keyboard, something happens. Not magic, exactly… just a lot of typing and thinking out loud.
See, the thing is, I’ve spent most of my life indulging in my own thoughts. I keep a mental “can of thoughts” tucked in my head, everything from upcoming travel plans to overheard coffee shop conversations, to secrets people spill like I’m their personal diary. You could say I’m naturally introspective, noticing little patterns in my own life and sometimes in others’ too.
Anyway, as an ice-breaker, let me tell you about the first time I ever came to be aware of my own existence. It was when I was taken on a trip to the cold mountains of Alaska, where I first saw the snow stretched endlessly on the horizon. And from the first time, I was hooked!
I could go on forever about myself (and probably will someday), but for now, here are a few fun facts so you can get a sense of who I am:
- My favorite place in the world? Alaska. Something about the cold and the endless snow just calls to me.
- I gave up on streaming music ages ago. I have an old-school MP3 player that holds all my favorite tracks.
- When I was younger I was completely with cooking. But now, sadly I cook mostly to survive and stay healthy!
That should give you a taste for now. My blog is a mix of travel stories, wellness tips, and random thoughts – sometimes wandering, sometimes wondering, and sometimes spilling a little tea. If that sounds like your kind of thing, you’re in the right place.
